Kingdown School A Level Results 2024
BackKingdown Sixth Form are celebrating another great set of results, with Year 13 students securing their first choice destinations of university, apprenticeships or employment.
Headteacher Helen Carpenter said: ‘Mrs Hooper and the Sixth Form team and Key Stage 5 teachers have worked very hard to support our amazing students achieve their potential and there have been some tears and squeals of joy today as envelopes were opened, not least from our supportive parents!
This year group have worked to overcome the deficits of lockdown and we have seen a higher number of A*-C grades at A level as a result, as well as exceptional vocational outcomes at Distinction* and Distinction. Many students also did very well with their Extended Project qualifications, which all added to their UCAS points and helped secure their first choice university places.
We are very proud of all our students’ achievements and wish them every happiness and success in their future lives and careers as they go on to university and apprenticeships.’
