Students at Kingdown School are celebrating the school’s best set of results in a decade. The number of top grades rose, bucking the national trend, and students celebrated their hard work with superb outcomes.

Headteacher Helen Carpenter said: ‘We have an exceptional group of young people who have what they need for their next steps, with many staying on to our 6th form having secured the entry grades. They have overcome the challenges of the past years and shown amazing resilience.  It’s been a huge team effort to help our students achieve so well – from our dedicated teachers, their supportive parents, and from their own work ethic and perseverance.’

‘We’ve got many success stories, of students that have overcome hardship and challenging times to achieve very highly. The atmosphere today has been fabulous, with happy students, parents and teachers.

‘I could not be more proud of our students and our school. We wish them all the very best with next steps in their futures, and look forward to welcoming them back to 6th Form.’
